Brown Snakehead Cowrie Shell Vintage Boho Screw Back Earrings

When I used to live in Hawaii, I did a lot of SCUBA diving and we would find these little cowrie shells by the hundreds! I stopped picking them up after awhile. It's no wonder someone decided to start making earrings from them -- they are so prolific.

They are called Snakehead Cowries and they are brown with white spots. These are in really good shape with nice color and a shiny finish. They are screw backs and the hardware seems to be really securely glued on and the screws are in good working order. Unsigned. Little to no vintage wear. A great reminder of that tropical vacation -- or just add them to your summer jewelry wardrobe -- it will be here before you know it -- Summer, I mean.

The earrings measure 3/4 of an inch by 1/2 inch.
