Painted Clay Faces Vintage Pierced Chandelier Earrings

These unusual earrings are a cascade of tiny faces made of clay that have been painted a verdi gris color, connected by gold tone chains.  I don't know what the faces represent, but they are quite unique!  These earrings are unsigned and are in excellent condition.

They measure 3.5 inches long, very lightweight.  The individual faces are about 3/8 of an inch.
